Over Quarrel With Driver, Engineer Asked To Touch Assam BJP Lawmaker\'s Feet
For asking a BJP lawmaker\'s driver to remove his car from the entrance of an official building, a government engineer in Assam was allegedly forced to touch the feet of the lawmaker and seek apology.
As his vehicle was causing inconvenience to people\'s movement there, the engineer had asked the driver to park it elsewhere, but instead, he picked up a quarrel, said an eyewitness who did not wish to be named.
The driver complained to Dimbeswar Das who allegedly threatened the engineer and later asked him to apologise. The public apology was captured on phones and circulated on social media. The legislator said Jayanta Das was not forced but touched his feet on his own.
